In a strive to curb the growing impact of youth enemployment, we highlight the creativity and potential of the youth of today. In order to achieve this, we provide workshops and football coaching courses with job opportunities. This is primarily for youths who are not in formal education or in full time employment.

Most courses have been developed by FA Learning and are fully accredited to be recognized on the national qualification framework.

Each learner will receive a full and comprehensive pack to include a full set of structured learning and assessment tasks.

Each course is delivered by fully qualified tutors and assessors who are all Full CRB checked.

Bronze Courses

Level 1 Award in Coaching Football Credits (Learning Hours) – 7 (35–45)

Developed in partnership with FA Learning, the education arm of The Football Association (The FA), the Level 1 Award in Coaching Football (QCF) is the first qualification on the football coaching ladder. This sports course is designed to provide you with an introduction to the practical and theoretical aspects of coaching football.

The foundation level of knowledge recognised in this qualification will enable you to develop an understanding of the safe, ethical and effective management and coaching of football.

Those who complete this Award will be able to assist other, more qualified coaches in delivering football coaching sessions to players of all ages.

This course is broken down into the following modules:

  • Understanding the Principles of Planning Coaching Activities in Sport
  • Understanding the Principles of Conducting Coaching Activities in Sport
  • Understanding the Principles of Evaluating Coaching Activities in Sport

  • Evaluating Football Coaching Activities

Level 1 Award in the Principles of Coaching SportCredits (Learning Hours) - 4 (33)

The Level 1 Award in the Principles of Coaching Sport provides you with the knowledge needed to develop your confidence and start you on the road to an engagement with coaching sport. You will gain the required generic knowledge that all sports coaches need to plan, conduct and evaluate safe and effective coaching activities in sport.

This includes the:

  • fundamentals of coaching sport
  • principles of planning coaching activities in sport
  • principles of conducting coaching activities in sport
  • principles of evaluating coaching activities in sport

This course is broken down into 4 easily manageable modules

  • Understanding the Fundamentals of Coaching Sport
  • Understanding the Principles of Planning Coaching Activities in Sport
  • Understanding the Principles of Conducting Coaching Activities in Sport
  • Understanding the Principles of Evaluating Coaching Activities in Sport

These bronze courses are designed for those who have no coaching or refereeing experience and is provided FREE to youths not in employment or formal education.

Completion of these courses will give you a good understanding of the basics and give you the perfect platform onto the Silver Sports Courses

Silver Courses

Level 1 Award in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport Credits (Learning Hours) – 9 (70)

Developed in partnership with the Rugby Football Union (RFU) the Level 1 Award in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport provides you with an introduction to the principles and practices of coaching safe and effective strength and conditioning activities. Upon completion, you are able to then seek employment as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in a club, school or equivalent environment.

This qualification is also excellent continuous professional development for exercise and fitness industry professionals via The Register of Exercise Professionals1 (REPs) – an ideal way to improve and broaden your skill set.

This course is broken down into the following modules:

  • Understanding the fundamentals of coaching sport
  • Understanding the principles of planning coaching activities in sport
  • Understanding the principles of conducting coaching activities in sport
  • Understanding the principles of evaluating coaching activities in sport
  • Planning coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport
  • Conducting coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport
  • Evaluating coaching activities in strength and conditioning for sport

Level 2 Award in the Principles of Coaching Sport Credits (Learning Hours) – 9 (70)

The Level 2 Award in the Principles of Coaching Sport provides you with the knowledge needed to develop your confidence and start you on the road to an engagement with coaching sport. You will gain the required generic knowledge that all sports coaches need to plan, conduct and evaluate safe and effective coaching sessions in sport.

This includes:

  • the fundamentals of coaching sport
  • how to develop participants through coaching sport
  • how to support participants’ lifestyles through coaching sport
  • the principles of safe and equitable coaching practice.

This course is broken down into 4 easily manageable modules

  • Understanding the fundamentals of coaching sport
  • Understanding how to develop participant(s) through coaching
  • Supporting participant(s)’ lifestyle through coaching sport
  • Understanding the principles of safe and equitable coaching practice

Level 2 Award in Leadership through Football Credits (Learning Hours) – 10 (62)

Developed in partnership with FA Learning, the education arm of The Football Association, the Level 2 Award in Leadership through Football is a brand-new and exciting qualification that will enable you to develop leadership, personal and thinking skills through supporting the development of grass-roots football.

You will be introduced to a number of leadership roles, including:

  • leading football activity sessions
  • refereeing small-sided games
  • managing a local small-sided game team
  • contributing to the organisation and delivery of a local football festival/event for young people

You will be provided with guidance on further opportunities as a sport leader, including how to contribute to grass-roots sport as an administrator, coach, referee, team manager and sport development volunteer.

This course is broken down into 4 easily manageable modules

  • Lead Football Activity Sessions
  • Referee Football Activity Sessions and Small-sided Games
  • Work with Small-sided Teams in Football
  • Contribute to the Organisation and Delivery of a Football Event for Young People

These silver courses are designed for those who have already completed 1 or more bronze courses and is the natural bridge to the gold courses.

Gold Courses

Level 3 Certificate in Achieving Excellence in Sports PerformanceCredits (Learning Hours) – 26 (180)

This course is broken down into the following modules:

  • Plan, Apply and Evaluate Own Technical Skills to Achieve Excellence in Sport
  • Plan, Apply and Evaluate Own Tactical Skills to Achieve Excellence in Sport
  • Plan, Apply and Evaluate Own Physical Capability to Achieve Excellence in Sport
  • Plan, Apply and Evaluate Own Nutritional Programme to Achieve Excellence in Sport
  • Plan, Apply and Evaluate Own Mental Skills and Attitudes in Relation to Excellence in Sport
  • Plan and Manage Own Lifestyle to Achieve Excellence in Sport
  • Manage Own Career in Sport
  • Communicate and Work Effectively with Other People to Achieve Excellence in Sport
  • Maintain the Health and Safety of Self and Others at Training and Competition Venues

These courses are generally designed for those who have completed both the bronze and silver courses.

If you have already completed 1 bronze and 1 silver then this will be a natural progression.
